  Not a hotel but is a cheap BB
I am at this hotel now. I have a lifetime in Africa and this is a very low quality B&B. Mzungu please don't be fooled by photos. Loud night clubs on three sides and a view of a petrol station. Poor qulity food. Very friendly staff always trying to help, but no on site owner or manager so they cannot help. If you are looking for a very cheap extened B&B type stay in Blantyre, or maybe just chips fungi for an hour or two, but for business travel please avoid. If I was living in Blantyre and cheating on my wife, would keep a room here for meeting my side piece. That is the reality

  Excellent place in a good area
I stayed here following a recommendation. My visit was brief but my experience was very good. The whole place inside and out are very well maintained. My room was large and comfortable. It was quiet too. I had three meals in the restaurant, all of which were very good. You need to order early for dinner, but that was not a problem for me.   Clean, spacious, and very comfortable!
I have stayed here 3 times and return because it’s always good. This was the best! The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and it has the best mosquito net of any place I’ve stayed. May sound weird but this is important to me. The staff was friendly and always anxious to help. Mariam, Diana, and Veronica (staff) deserve recognition.

  Best people and best service
I initially chose The Leslie because of its proximity to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and its airport service. It had been 16 years since I was last in Malawi and I never expected to find a place like this in all of the country! This is a beautiful property with a staff that gives 5-star service from Reception to the Dining Room to the Owner. I had a lot of special requests during my visit and every request was granted. I got sick while I was there and the owner delivered medication for me! I was never made to feel like I was asking too much. The rooms and the grounds are beautifully kept. Each room is spacious and has a private mini-garden with a patio. I stayed in two different rooms for a total of four nights. The mattresses were very comfortable and had gorgeous mosquito netting completely covering the beds along with very efficient air conditioning. The food is outstanding. Breakfast is extensive. I highly recommend you plan to eat at the hotel as often as possible and try the Chambo and chips – best ever! I don’t know how they manage to run such a first-class establishment but they do!

  Great experience
The rooms were excellent, the food was terrific, and the staff was wonderful. This was a wonderful place to stay and we would absolutely stay again! The courtyards throughout were a wonderful place to relax, each meal was delicious, and our group loved the coffee machine. The staff were so welcoming and took excellent care of us throughout our stay and the laundry option was greatly appreciated!

Really comfortable small hotel near the centre of town. All on one level with lovely gardens and friendly staff. Bed good, room very clean. Nice sitting room and dining room though limited menu. Just a very nice place to spend a few days. Nice little garden attached to each room

  Beautiful outdoor grounds to rest & dine
Western-style decor and standards. What’s best about the hotel is the beautiful grounds in the back with dining area, and semi-private patios attached to a sliding door for the deluxe rooms. There is a hot drink bar with fruit all day long. Wifi was reliable. Western-style breakfast buffet and to-order breakfast is decent.

  Hotel/ Guest House with International Stards
The Leslie is an absolute game changer when it come to staying over in Blantyre. From luxurious bedrooms with my own ‘private’ space that isn’t just a bedroom, to really delicious food (the croissants at breakfast are proper croissants not just rolls shaped as croissants), to the beautiful gardens and outdoor area. You really don’t feel like you’re in Blantyre. What a spoil thank you to all the friendly staff who helped me with transport and my onward travel plans.   Better than a hotel: feeling at home in a cozy, quiet, clean and friendly place
The place is great and cozy. All the rooms are like small cottages with large windows that allow you to see the landscape and the green of the environment. The place is quiet, beautiful, clean, and white. All the details of the rooms are thought. The dining room is nice, quiet, and clean. The breakfast was perfect, always served with a lot of care. I felt at home, all personal (kitchen, cleaners, reception, management) are kind, friendly, and always with a smile. I'm glad I couldn't find any other hotel available the first weekend I stayed there as it made me search further and found this amazing place. I went back a weekend later and once more time last weekend to complete three consecutive weekends there. I definitely prefer the place to a traditional hotel.

  A Peaceful Place to be
We had never been to Africa before and it was a very long flight from the US. I had read the review of The Leslie and decided to make it our first stop and our hub for Malawi. I could not have picked better. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Staff are attentive and we were pampered. Food was lovely. And the grounds were very relaxing. I highly recommend.
